Greenwich People’s NHS Charter

The Greenwich Peoples’ NHS Charter is a statement of what local people believe their health service should provide.  Written by the We Love the NHS campaign, it is a blueprint for how we wish to see NHS services run in Greenwich.

Following the Health and Social Care Act the NHS is changing. What generations of people have taken for granted since 1948 could be put under threat.  This is an opportunity for the local community to state what it wants to see from its local NHS.

If, like us, you value the NHS, help to shape a future that builds on its past by adding your name to the growing list of signatories, add your name to the Charter which our three MPs presented to the Secretary of State for Health in Parliament earlier this year.

Since its conception sixty years ago the NHS has become a revered and celebrated institution,  demonstrating the best of British values – fairness, consideration for others, and equality. The belief that no matter what their place in society, everyone has the right to be treated equally.
